И так далее, степень адаптации настолько незначительна, что заострять на этом внимание на начальных этапах катания просто не имеет смысла. Короче говоря — не заморачивайтесь.

Исходить нужно именно из потребностей, а не из суммы денег (которую вы готовы потратить на покупку вашего первого байка), как порой ошибочно могут вам порекомендовать.

Во втором случае вы рискуете выкинуть деньги на ветер, оплатив функционал, которым не будете пользоваться, или же, наоборот, решив сэкономить, получить совсем не то, что хотите, тогда велопрогулки, вместо радости, принесут разочарование, и увлекательный мир движения и свободы, открытый двухколёсным путешественникам, будет для вас потерян.

Специализированные велосипеды

Они сильнее всего отличаются по «экстерьеру» от остальных. И вероятнее всего, если вы покупаете свой первый велосипед и ещё не знаете, что именно от него хотите, «вашего» в этой категории нет. Тем не менее, рассмотрим их немного подробнее.

В первую очередь это велосипеды для BMX. Эти трюковые велосипеды отличаются от остальных в первую очередь по размеру — они заметно меньше, на более низких колёсах (диаметром 20 дюймов против обычных 26).

У них всего одна скорость, нет багажника, крыльев, а часто и тормозов (что не удивительно, ведь они не предназначены для езды как таковой).

Это велосипед для выполнения акробатических номеров в рампах, на специальных трассах или в обычной городской среде: на площадях, небольших лестницах, широких бордюрах, фонтанах.

Также к таким велосипедам относится разновидность горных — триальные. Их легко опознать по форме рамы — она очень узкая, «стремительная», порой без седла. Триальные велосипеды предназначены для преодоления препятствий в горах и городе и выполнения «прыжковых» трюков.

Третья разновидность специальных велосипедов — шоссейные. Эти предназначены уже не для демонстрации вашей ловкости путём «выкручивания» зрелищных фортелей на месте, а для гонок (именно на шоссейниках едут спортсмены в новостях по телевизору).

Это велосипеды с большими и тонкими колёсами, рама сварена из тонких трубок, руль «скручен в бараний рог», тормоза ? ободные, покрышки очень гладкие.

Передач у таких велосипедов часто не так много (от 5 до 22, так как спереди редко ставят три звезды), но на хорошеем покрытии они всё равно позволяют легко держать скорость на 10–15 км/ч выше, чем на любом другом типе велосипедов.

Рассматривать шоссейник как вариант для покупки имеет смысл только в том случае, если вы планируете ездить только по асфальту и в летний сезон (ну или же серьёзно готовитесь к карьере велогонщика). Колёса такого велосипеда предназначены для езды только по ровным гладким поверхностям. Кататься на шоссейнике по пересечённой местности или (тем более!) по снегу — сложно и опасно. Универсальность принесена в жертву скорости.

Городские велосипеды

Если для вас велосипед (тем более ? первый взрослый велосипед!), в первую очередь средство передвижения, то искать его нужно здесь.

Рассматривая представителей этой категории, будем двигаться от простого к сложному. И начнём с городского велосипеда (его ещё иногда почему-то называют «дорожным»).

Это самый простой велосипед, часто уже в магазине оборудованный большими крыльями, багажником (или корзинкой), защитным щитком на цепи ? обычно из всех аксессуаров на других типах велосипедов только катафоты и звонок, остальное приходится выбирать из богатого ассортимента и покупать дополнительно.

У такого велосипеда высокий сильно выгнутый руль, широкое мягкое седло (часто с пружинами) — это обеспечивает комфортную вертикальную посадку.

Это лучший вариант для тех случаев, когда велосипед вам нужен для неспешного катания. Как правило, такие велосипеды достаточно просты в использовании и неприхотливы в обслуживании. Количество скоростей — от одной до шести, тормоза ободные (но могут быть и ножными, и дисковыми). Именно такие велосипеды чаще всего предлагают муниципальные велопрокаты.

Городской велосипед вполне подойдёт как для ежедневных недолгих прогулок по улицам ? например, до работы (если это не 20 км в одну сторону) или в магазин, так и для покатушек по грунтовым дорожкам в парках.

Но для более-менее продолжительных путешествий, например, походов выходного дня, он уже не подойдёт. У вас могут устать спина, попа, плечи, ноги.

Такова уж конструкция рамы: описанная выше комфортная вертикальная посадка «плоха» тем, что снижает эффективность педалирования и скорость. Эти велосипеды не для спорта и не для путешествий!

Горные велосипеды

Если же вы, наоборот, любитель активного отдыха и планируете вместе со своим велосипедом покорять просторы нашей необъятной родины вне проложенных цивилизацией дорог, то вам нужно выбирать горный велосипед. На нём вы легко преодолеете бездорожье, сможете ехать по щебню, спускаться по горным или коряжистым лесным тропинкам (26-дюймовые колёса с крупным, «злым» протектором на покрышках не дадут вам «поскользнуться»).

У горных велосипедов усиленная рама, они оснащаются амортизаторами (передним, а иногда ещё и задним — такие называются двухподвесами), сиденья у них без пружин и, как правило, узкие, руль почти прямой, за счёт этого посадка велосипедиста более горизонтальна.

Такая «обтекаемая» позиция гораздо выгоднее, чем вертикальная, для преодоления дистанций от 20–30 км. Она обеспечивает высокую скорость передвижения и меньшую утомляемость, хотя поначалу может показаться не очень-то удобной.
